Why "She Who Never Gives Up"?

It all started on my birthday several years ago when I got a birthday card from my sister, and better half. On the front of the card was a woman dancing and it said "She Who Never Gives Up". To this day, that what the most profound card I have ever received- and I still have it.

It was valuable to me for several reasons. First and foremost was because it came from my sister. Secondly, because it was proof that all my struggles, and more importantly- my perseverance, were not going unnoticed.

The card was not only a reminder of all the trials and tribulations I'd had up until that point, but also of the triumphs and the fact that I made it through some pretty hard situations. I'll admit some may have been self-inflicted but I came through nonetheless.

Ever since I've used that as my mantra. I've always carried that phrase in my head and heart and when things get (or got) tough I remember that card and that more than anything my sister is watching. I pray that I am somehow giving her and anyone else paying attention the strength and courage to keep going.

This blog is meant to entertain and inspire. I have a pretty interesting sense of humor so I'll warn you in advance. I plan to share hard topics as well as happier ones.

Enjoy!
